With this layout I wanted to use graduated type and worked with the sub-editor to make the first paragraph work instead of using a headline and intro.

With this layout I used the scale of the two images to create a dynamic presentation. The smaller shot is looking up at the headline.

I loved the drama and contrast between her pale skin, pink lips and blonde hair against the black collar and background. I extended the black and reversed the first few paragraphs out across the page, picking out the pink from her lips in the headline.

Here I wanted to create a bold, graphic layout and use colours from the Scottish flag.

A great photo, I liked the way the fingers came around from his eye, with the ascenders in his name I tried to mimic the fingers with the headline.
